The Madison Valley Emergency Hub is operated by volunteers. After a disaster, people from the community will come together to help each other. If you are able to come to the hub, we encourage you to fill out our skills form to let us know the types of skills and abilities you can provide.
Depending on the disaster, we may require a wide range of skills and abilities including:
Walkers, runners and cyclists to deliver messages and resources
Drivers with access to a vehicle
Legible handwriting for taking messages and posting notices
Construction/roofing
Tree maintenance/debris clearance
Electrical
Plumbing
Structural engineer/architect
Medical (MD, RN, paramedic...)
Allied health (PT, OT,...)
Mental health/counseling
Veterinary
Food preparation
Older adult care
Pet care
Security
Search and rescue
Radio (Ham and GMRS)
